ARTIFICIAL & SUBLIME

Pou ceux d'entre vous qui ne connaissez pas Artificial Magazine, nous sommes un fanzine base a Paris et cree par moi meme avec la precieuse aide de mon ami Vanni Cacocciola et les collaborations de bien d'autres amis travaillant pour l'amour de l'art. On a deja lance deux numeros, chacun inspire par un icone culturel (David Bowie, Tom Waits) duquel on explore l'univers creatif a travers la musique, la mode, la litterature... On a eu des collaborations incroyables comme Alex Kapranos de Franz Ferdinand ou le groupe electro british Sohodolls. En ce moment, on est en train de re-penser la distibution, les budgets etc du zine (c'est vraiment pas facile de creer une publication, on a eu toutes sortes de problemes, un parent qui ne voulait pas que sa fille apparaisse, un profil myspace hacke...). Il est tres possible qu'on transforme le zine en magazine bientot. Jusqu'a ce moment, je vous montre quelques photos d'un de nos shootings, style par Vanni, avec l'exotique Martina comme mannequin et photographie par Carolina Amoretti. Vous en pensez quoi?

For those of you who do not know Artificial Magazine, we are a Paris-based zine created a year ago by me with the great help of my friend Vanni Cacocciola and the contributions of many other friends working pro bono for us. We have already launched two issues, each one inspired by a cultural icon (David Bowie, Tom Waits), whose creative universe we explore throughout fashion, music, photography, litterature... We've had some great contributions, such as Franz Ferdinand's Alex Kapranos, Little Boots's Victoria or electro band Sohodolls. Right now we are re-thinking the distribution, budget and quality of the zine (mind you it's not easy to publish something like that, we get all sorts of problems from a father who doesn't want his daughter to appear in it to a hacked myspace profile). It is possible that we'll turn it into a magazine very soon. Until then, here are some pics of one of our shootings, styled by Vanni, modelled by the exotic Martina and photographed by Carolina Amoretti. What do you think about it?

Para aquellos de vosotros que no conzcais Artificial Magazine, es un fanzine creado en Paris por mi con la inestimable ayuda de mi amigo Vanni Cacocciola y la colaboracion de otros muchos amigos, que lo hacen por amor al arte. Hemos lanzado ya dos numeros, cada uno de ellos inspirado por un icono cultural (el primero por David Bowie y el segundo por Tom Waits) cuyo universo creativo exploramos a traves de la musica, la moda, la fotografia, la literatura... Hemos tenido colaboraciones geniales, como Alex Kapranos de Franz Ferdinand, Victoria de Little Boots o el grupo electro britanico Sohodolls. En este momento estamos viendo un poco como podriamos mejorar la distibucion, los presupuestos y la calidad (no es facil llevar una publicacion, os lo aseguro; tenemos constantemente problemas de todas clases desde un padre que no quiere que el shooting en el que aparece su hija sea publicado hasta un pirateo de nuestro myspace...). Es muy posible que lo transfomemos en revista muy pronto. Hasta entonces, os enseno aqui algunas fotos de uno de nuestros shootings: el estilismo es de Vanni, la modelo es la exotica Martina y las fotos son de Carolina Amoretti. Que os parece?
