Lately I've been mysteriously drawn towards Icelandic music. No, seriously. Well, there is no escape: having to hear the word Eyjafjallajökull five thousand times a day it's better to put some Sugarcubes in it! I have realized I hadn't listened to Björk in such a long time... and I actually used to be a huge fan of her for a long time, since her techno years until her Alexander McQueen- Nick Knight- Juelie Verhoeven- Vinoodh Matadin collaboration period; then I started listening to other Icelandic bands, like Sigur Rós, Múm or GusGus and for some reason I stopped listening to her. But now I come to think about it, if you forget all the controversy and the newspapermen-spanking, Björk is really quite something: you just have to take a look at some of her pictures to notice it.
Yeah, she is a bit loony; and yeah, she is really cool. And, mind you, she already was cool in her pre-hype years. The proof? Big Time Sensuality, for instance. I still think Debut is my favourite album by her...

i adore björk. and i was such an big fan of hers some years back. remember being 13 and loving björk-along with backstreet boys,, such an mixed music taste. :) i love múm too and sigur ros. the sound of icelandic music is mystical and beautiful. unique. hope youre having an wonderful week so far love. xx ediot
Her music is not always my thing, but I do love her style and how she expresses herself. Björk puts so much of herself into everything she does, and I can't help but smile when I see some of the pictures in this post.
Debut is one of my all-time favourites. And you know how I feel about her Bachelorette video(if you saw my post, can't recall!) She's a true original, and can give a good beat-down, too! Denise xoxox
Oddly enough, the recent events in Iceland seems to be having the same effect on me as well. I spent the entire day, yesterday, listening to her.. always a treat.
As soon as I saw the title of this post I got so excited!!! I love lovelove Bjork A band called Woodpigeon does a reall beautiful cover of Aurora. Im also obsessed with Icelandic bands like Amiina and Sigur Ros. Bjork is so beautiful and fearless!

I didn't know that Iceland had such a big music scene. I always loved Bjork because she's a true artist to me; and some of her music I like, too.
